Karger publishing is a family-owned Swiss company founded in 1890. Karger, whose publications are primarily medical, is one of the few publishing houses in the world that focuses entirely on biomedicine and is one of the world's most prestigious medical publishers. Karger publishes about 100 journals (including 22 online Open Access journals, Extra journals and Case Reports, most of which are included in SCI), more than 40 series of books and a number of monographs annually, mainly in English, covering the latest developments in traditional and modern medicine.
The Karger database covers all fields of biomedicine, from oncology, endocrinology, nephrology, cell biology, neuroscience, hematology to genetics, starting from emerging disciplines and hot fields. In order to maintain quality publications, Karger publishes only peer-reviewed works. Bruce a. Beutler and Jules a. Hoffmann, 2011 Nobel Prize winners in medicine, are members of the editorial board of the Karger Journal of Innate Immunity.
In recent years, Karger has been actively cooperating with Chinese partners in publishing plans and establishing a publishing platform for scientific and technological cooperation with China.
